Upcoming call for proposals: opens September 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Achieving this transition requires changes in both attitudes and behaviors, as well as greater acceptance of the development and implementation of necessary measures.
This call for proposals funds projects that will result in the development and testing, as well as the practical application and scaling up, of innovative methods to increase acceptance and change behaviors that facilitate the transition toward the mission. The call aims to raise awareness of the value of water and change how individuals, organizations, and communities use and manage water resources. Through increased understanding and commitment to change, the projects are expected to contribute to one or more of the ten objectives within the Water Wise Societies mission. The projects must be carried out in collaboration between stakeholders and experts.
What can you apply for?
Projects that, through scalable and innovative approaches to acceptance, behavioral change, participation, and engagement, contribute to one or more of Water Wise Societies’ missions.
This call for proposals welcomes applications for pilot projects as well as implementation and scaling projects. Implementation and scaling projects do not need to have previously received funding for a pilot project.
Who is eligible to apply?
Stakeholders in the “source-to-coast” system, in collaboration with stakeholders representing expertise in acceptance, behavioral change, participation, and engagement. Relevant stakeholders may come from the public sector, the business community, research organizations, institutes, civil society, and the cultural sector.
The stakeholder group should include at least two parties, at least one need owner and one expert. A need owner is an actor with a clear need linked to the programme’s mission where acceptance and behavioral changes are required for transition. All parties must be legal entities.
How much can you apply for?
