Important results from the project

The long-term objective of the project has been to contribute to a more resource-efficient use of water and thereby promote sustainable water resource management and sustainable societal transformation. This goal has not been achieved. However, the intended goals in each work package have been achieved.

The long-term objective of the project has been to contribute to a more resource-efficient use of water and thereby promote sustainable water resource management and sustainable societal transformation. This is expected to be achieved through the follow-up projects and the work that follows from them.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented in four main stages:

  1. Stakeholder collaboration where various actors came together to jointly discuss the issue.
  2. Strategic analysis to gather Swedish and international experiences in the area.
  3. Foresight where expected and desired future images were developed.
  4. Project development where follow-up projects were formulated.
