- Influence over the program’s focus and initiatives.
- Access to a growing network of organizations playing a vital role in the transition.
- Opportunities for mutual learning and innovation.
- Invitations to inspirational meetings and workshops.
A dynamic meeting place for influence, learning, and collaboration
We offer several ways to meet, influence the program, gain inspiration, and collaborate:
- In-Person Meetings – 2 times per year
We gather for in-depth conversations, strategic discussions, and to establish a joint direction. Previous meetings have hosted up to 90 participants and have, among other things, contributed to the building of consortia ahead of upcoming calls for proposals.
- Digital Workshops – as needed
Flexible and thematic gatherings where we can delve into current issues.
- Breakfast Seminars – monthly
One hour of digital inspiration and in-depth focus. Previous themes include, for example, creative ways to influence acceptance and behavior, a crash course in the research and innovation landscape, and how to transition from policy lobbying to policy labbing.
Previous meetings
The in-person meetings have had varying focuses and themes. The very first meeting focused on the importance of a systems perspective on water challenges.
“I am impressed by the stakeholders’ ability to elevate the discussion and ideas beyond ‘just’ knowledge-enhancing research and technology innovation, instead highlighting the need for more organizational changes within, for example, policy, funding, and capacity to manage the transition,” says Magnus Arnell, Program Manager for Water Wise Societies, regarding the first meeting in the Transition Arena.
During a subsequent meeting, nearly 90 representatives from the member organizations gathered to receive insights from the first 20 projects within Water Wise Societies.
The in-person meetings have previously been held in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
