Purpose and goal
The project aims to develop flood-resilient communities by 2035 through a systemic and future-oriented analysis. It will conduct an environmental and stakeholder analysis to identify challenges and relevant stakeholders, propose business and financing models, explore legislative flexibility, and promote knowledge enhancement. Centered around a case study in Uppsala, the project builds on ongoing initiatives and will gather more stakeholders to develop proposals for a follow-up project.
Expected effects and result
The results of the project include a systemic and future-oriented analysis through an environmental and stakeholder analysis, a long-term stakeholder group, and proposals for follow-up projects within WWS. The effects of this are to lay the foundation for creating flood-resilient communities by 2035.
Planned approach and implementation
AP1 Project management, planning, and communication, incl. digital mini-seminar for wider community and invite new partners to join. AP2 Challenges and obstacles ahead: Environmental and stakeholder analysis, and systemic and future-oriented analysis. AP3 Proposals for measures and activities for a follow-up project with stakeholder group, including identifying business and financing models for joint measures, exploring interpretive flexibility, and policy development within current legislation.
