Sweden's biggest investment in sustainable water

Sweden faces major challenges in water management. Aging water and wastewater systems threaten our access to clean water. At the same time, increasing urbanization and climate change – causing droughts and floods – are putting additional pressure on the water supply.

Water Wise Societies is leading a system transformation in the management of water resources and related infrastructure. The program brings together stakeholders from across society and is led by RISE, IVL Svenska Miljöinstitutet, Linköping Science Park, Lund University, Stockholm Environment Institute and Svenskt Vatten.

With over 70 members, we are working toward the mission sustainable water for all by 2050 through collaboration, research, and innovation.
